SIOW Piang Koon decided to commercialise his own recipe of cooking spicy soup in the late 1990s and started a shop in Serdang.
At that time, there was no other place selling this type of soup.
After he rented a stall just behind the post office near the market, and partly air-conditioned it, he asked two of his sons to resign from their jobs and help him with the business.
Their specialties are Sup pedas (Peppery Soup) with kampung (free-reign) chicken; The spicy soup is with lots and lots of white pepper and ginger slices and sprinkled with celery. Next is the chicken with dark soy sauce and Fah Teu Wine (Ginger Chicken Wine); this was a pretty delish claypot chicken dish. It came bubbling and it smelled really good. The Fah Teau taste is light so it will lingers in your mouth for just a while. Others are the Prawn with wine and Dried Prawns Taufu.
It is basically located in Seri Kembangan town. Heading back to LDP from Putrajaya, take the next exit to Seri Kembangan which brings you to a traffic light, turn right. Go straight all the way down, pass Jusco, it will be on ur left. Go straight down, you'll see Artwright on your right. There will be a traffic light up front, pass that, keep a look out for a chinese school on you left. Take the immediate left after the school. Go slight further down.
There will be a parking lot on right, park there if u can find parking. You will see a big green signboard for a restaurant. That is NOT it. Walk down the road, the green sign shop should be on your right. And the Sup Pedas place is at the end of the road.
